Ramblings ....

Not much of a "blogging for awareness" post I will warn you now but actually some of the feelings I express often are an emotional component of it all and I think then, that qualifies this as pertinent.Make sense?I doubt it because I feel very nonsensical tonight.Found this quote. Loved it. But wasn't quite sure what to do with it."May I never miss a sunset or rainbow because I am looking down"Sara June Parker Okay, that's about all I got.Seriously.I have hit the weirdest block.I have began 2 or 3 posts and deleted them all.One by one.Never happened before. My mind is flooded with so much stuff.None of which I seem to be able to sort into any meaningful categories. My body is spent.Exhausted from the daily grind but strangely unable to find my way to bed before midnight.Zoey is sick.I am a bit worried about her, which sends me into a whole different mind set. That tightrope I have been walking lately seems a bit harder to walk then usual. My toes gripping tighter, flapping my arms incessantly, trying to retain balance, all the while trying to lift my head high enough to see that sunset and rainbow.Don't get me wrong,I know the beauty of life is all around me.I see that with crystal clarity. It's my participation in it that disappoints me.So,my goal ... to get out.Get out and live in it.The getting out should be easy enough.I am so blessed to live in California, where the sun shines practically all year round.Sunshine does wonders for the body and soul.Tomorrow,I get out.And to Carey thank you.You know what for.I needed your words.I'll let you know how it goes. However, the adventure may be short lived.Thursday is Taylors 17th birthday. She has requested her usual birthday dinner.Care to guess what I may be cooking?Bet you can't guess. So I'll tell you.Thanksgiving dinner.Yep,Thursday I will be cooking ,in California 90 degree weather,Thanksgiving dinner.Got to love that girl. She couldn't have started a tradition of say pasta, could she have?Oh,well. At least my house will smell awesome. Thanks for your patience friends. Thanks for all the comments, emails and phone calls from near and far,old and new friends just checking on me.It rallies me and reminds me of all the beauty God has surrounded me with.Beauty in the form of all of you.I posted a quote to a friend the other day so since I began with a quote I'll end with one as well.Seems somewhat fitting to tie up this very random posting this evening."Some people come into our lives and quickly go.Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."Flavia Thanks for staying guys. My heart thanks each and everyone of you.

No, actually thank YOU, Heather. Seems like we all need some friends solid as a rock to get along in this life that is so incalculable, full of emotions and feelings that go up unbelievable high just to bring you way down maybe the next day. But everyday has some good and some beauty. Sometimes it`s just to know that there are people out there who care for you, are interested in you and want you to feel ok - in my case THAT is what keeps me going. So thank you for that!

a big hug from me
Claudia!

Hi Heather! I'm going to take you up on your offer for questions to be asked about Zoey. I enjoy viewing your daily blogs, Zoey is just so cute, what a great smile she has. What is a normal day life for Zoey? Is her arm strength getting better? I just loved the video of "So big" too cute!

Have a great day!

Thanksgiving dinner...sounds tasty! Comfort food, that should be just what the doctor ordered for everyone, right?!?!? I would say I could use some of that, but last year I remember I gained 5lbs during Thanksgiving and I certainly don't need an extra 5lbs right now!! Happy Birthday to Taylor! I love that name...Reagan was almost Taylor. If we had a second girl, that was my sure pick, but I have doubts that will ever happen. Speaking of rambling... Have a great (busy) day! I will keep it in my prayers that little Zoey starts feeling better!

Oh Heather...that sounds great (the thansgiving dinner part) not the Zoey sick part. Do you make Green Bean Caserole?? We always make it when we go camping for Thanksgiving...It's so good in a gross way. Hope you girls are feeling better soon!!

Okay, let's change our meeting location...not coffee, not the park...your house tomorrow for some turkey and gravy!!! :) Is it really just 90 in your parts?? I checked my barometer yesterday and it actually read 100...not fun!!

Actually we really do need to set up our "play date" soon.

And your quotes...you could just blog a post with all your fabulous quotes when you get writers block and I'd be satisfied. :)

I hope Zoey is not coming down with something. Reid is not feeling himself either, in fact he woke up hoarse this morning...how you know a little one who doesn't talk is hoarse?! I don't know but his babbles sure sounded that way!

Hugs to Zoey.

Hey H, it must be in the air. My Pres is not doing well at all!! (and mommy right along with her!) Sorry I haven't been in touch, that is why...
Last week I created 5 posts and scheduled them or there wouldn't be things showing up on the blog at all, it is pretty crazy here too.
Wish I could come over for dinner, I could contribute the can of cranberry sauce, 'bout all I'd have time for, LOL!
Kiss Z, hope she feels better real soon, that's the prayer for this house too!
P.S. Happy Birthday Taylor!!

are you gonna write a sappy post about taylor and how great she is like you did on my birthday?

Caitlin said...

Jess,
Yeah, i bet she will.
"Taylor was such a beautiful baby unlike Jess and Cait that did not get cute until age one. Taylor was the baby of the family for a long time and she stills acts like one from time to time. But she is such a dilligent in n out worker and she also loves general hospital and she also has chronic headaches and she also has the two best older sisters possible."

Taylor, enjoy the "you are special today" plate...because you are only special tomorrow.

(hope you enjoyed reading this jess)

Caitlin

ps: is it possible to mail stuffing? maybe you could overnight it?

I am behind a few days but I am especially enjoying Jessica and Caitlin's comments!!! happy birthday Taylor!! I will always know how old you are because you were born right after our wedding so Heather couldn't come! The turkey dinner sounds great-I myself would ask for a repeat of the wing-ding or whatever my brother called it. Heather I hope you can have a tiny bit of time for yourself. Lisa
