The nerve of some people ....

I cannot even believe I am going to dignify this with a response but here it goes. Today I awoke to find a few more comments left from my previous post. When I clicked to read them I was SHOCKED to find this comment. "PLEASE,PLEASE get rid of the music." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I have,in the past received a few not so nice comments.I usually shrug them off but sometimes I do a little detective work and I figure out who sent them. Usually it is some cowardly person who leaves it anonymously. Figures. Always an opinion but not willing to show your "face". See,I have this handy little site meter. I can go back and find out nice little details regarding peoples visits and today here is what I found out: You came on at 12:59am my time, 2:59am your time. You came on on Sbcglobal and you stayed for 13 minutes and 12 seconds. You out clicked to comments, which at the time were 11 and your rude comment made 12!! Here's the deal: don't come. And here's another idea, if you do, which at this point I wish you wouldn't, PAUSE the blog music. Lot's of people don't like the background music while they are reading, I get that. However, let me tell you something. Let me tell you about two people who DO like the music and it has been comfort to them during tough times. First, my friend Kele. She and her husband had the music on during the ENTIRE time their precious Presley was having life saving heart surgery. It actually HELPED them. And the other person is my friend Tish. She listens to it even while changing pages and going to other sites. This, while taking care of her precious son Thomas who has been a patient in the hospital since last July fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer. So there it is. Quite frankly I could care less if you like the music. It wasn't intended FOR anyone. They are our songs. Zoey's songs. So with that said,I think I will go now. Spend time with my family. Enjoy an early birthday celebration for my sweet daughter before we head to the hospital where she is fighting for her life against a little thing called :LEUKEMIA. And you my anonymous friend: How will you spend your day? Hopefully NOT leaving other comments on other peoples blogs where you probably have no business going to in the first place!

*And to Kristen's mom, having nothing to do with this hoopla .... I left you a comment on Kristen's blog in response to your question about Zoey's protocol.

Way to go! I don't blame you for getting upset. People are stupid and this is your blog so you can put whatever music you want to on it! What's funny is that 99% of the time I keep the volume on my computer off. So even though I have music on my blog that I LOVE, I usually can't hear it! Again...people are stupid and I'm glad you stood up for yourself! Hope you're having a GREAT birthday celebration!!! I want to see some pics!!

Also, you should be sleeping at 2:59 am.
Also, if you know how to use a computer, you should also know how to turn the volume down on your computer.

These blogs are very personal and very close to their authors' hearts. Please take into consideration that negativity and blatant rudeness have no place in this tight-knit, support-based community.

I agree, it is your blog, that person has no business being so rude.

" southern hospitality" thing, but who would be that rude?? If you go to sombody's blog and hear music you dont like THEN LEAVE!! But DONT leave some stupid, brazen, half thought out comment. It's inexcusable in my book. Great job for calling them out and I hope their ashamed!!

Good job!!! People are completely inconsiderate!! Turn down your volume, dude!!

As you can tell from my comment on the previous post, I did not like that comment either. Some people are just rude. I feel if you can't say something nice or encouraging don't say anything. I hope that all of you are having a great time at Zoey's birthday celebration.

The nerve of some people. Way to give it to them. They are obviously not coming on here to find out how Zoey is or your family, or they wouldn't be that rude.

Stupid people don`t get how to turn their volume down. Don´t be angry, they are just not worth it. And, why do people still think they were anonymous? Everybody has sitemeter or somenthing similar on the blog. Now, the post didin`t make it to Miss Z´s birthday, but I would like to congratulate. Please, give her a super-big hug from me. I`ll send you an email as well.

Love
Claudia

I am not sure why some people are so rude and inconsiderate. It makes me feel sorry for them because they must have a very lonely and desperate life to only think of themselves.

A couple months ago, I was at a gas station filling up my tires with air in my minivan with my 2 little girls in their carseat. A guy in a pickup truck pulls up behind me waiting for the airpump. Well, I guess I was taking too long because after a few minutes he honked his horn to get my attention and as I looked up he flicked me off and drove away. Any decent person would have been kind enough to either be patient or ask if they could help. Some people are so ugly.

On a positive note...I hope Zoey has a wonderful birthday celebration. Enjoy the day!!!

I have a few choice words for the kind of person that is so presumptuous and rude as to make a negative comment about your blog, but I will refrain from sullying Zoey's space with my crass verbiage.

I actually love your music and also leaving it playing while I visit other blogs..I'm sorry this happened..I really just don't know what is wrong with some people!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOEY!!!!

Heather,
I love your music. I even put a couple of the songs on my blog.... GOD help people like that poor soul who is so unhappy with themselves that they have to be hateful to others in order to feel good. Everyone need to pray for that person. Sick GOD on them and see how they feel after he gets a hold of them.

Happy Birthday to Zoey, Happy Birthday to Zoey, Happy Birthday dear Zoey, Happy Birthday to YOU!!!!!!

Give her a kiss from me. I never got your address, but I would like to get it from Kele and send her a present. It will be late of course.

I loved the video of sweet princess, she is soooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!

Check out my blog tomorrow I'm working on posting a few photo of Presley birthday.

Hi! Today is the first time I've checked out your blog (I came across it on Sarah's Class of 2008). I will say that normally, I turn the music down when I read blogs if it's music I don't enjoy, but when I heard "I Can Only Imagine" playing, I turned it way up (Even before I started reading!).

I've seen Zoey's picture on other blogs and now that I've "met" her, she will definitely be in my prayers! God Bless!

Rude. Rude. Rude. Shame on that mean commenter.

I have actually downloaded all your songs to my I-pod and I listen to them almost everyday at lunchtime - (my time for prayer and relaxation - they are very soothing to me). Hope Zoey had a nice birthday party today. Praying that Round 4 gets going tomorrow and out of the way - and

Please please DON'T get rid of the music - more people like it than don't......

Gosh, to think of the hours I spent in Presley's hospital room with Zoey's picture on my computer and her music playing, and YES, during Presley's entire 5 hour surgery it played as well, it gave us a bit of peace!
I THANK YOU for the beautiful music that you so carefully and thoughtfully select for this amazing blog of yours and Z's.
As for the commenter?...
How empty and sad of you...

I like the music on your blog, and if someone want's to mute it they should just click the stop button on your music player, that's why it's there. Same thing on my blog.
Hope you have a good week.
Gerry :-)

Well said Heather - I had noticed that comment previously and I thought it was very rude especially when they could pause it!

As for you, Caitlin - what a wonderful video you have created for your little sister. Are you thinking of following in your dad's career, editing? You did an awesome job.

Zoey I hope you had a very nice birthday Sunday and on your real birthday (Monday) things run smoothly for you at the hospital.

Love & hugs to everyone

That's my girl!! I happen to LOVE the music...I actually made a CD out of most of those songs and play it frequently and dance with my daugther to them...so thank you for that music, its perfect! Love you girl and thinking of you today and always!!!

I've told you this before - I often come on the site after I have read it just to see what song is playing at the exact moment and usually I find relief.

It's a way of sharing a hug and conversation when we are so far apart.

The ugly commenter can suck it.

I love your music. I too leave your music on while I look at other sites. I also like to listen to it while I'm at work.
Happy Birthday Zoey and many prayers as you conquer this next round!
