"Peace - that was the other name for home." ~Kathleen Norris

I am at complete peace at this moment because my sweet Zoey and I are home. This post could be long and detailed.Full of emotions of past, present and future but instead I will keep it simple.Feeling incredibly blessed for this moment.Knowing the road of the last 7 months has been long and difficult for the tiny but mighty warrior Zoey but standing in awe of the grace by which she has traveled that road.Tonight I placed my little love in her crib, gazed at her peaceful face and thanked God once again for bringing us to this moment.More of an update tomorrow.

Big ((((HUGS)))) and kisses for sweet Zoey and her family. She did it!!! You all did it!!! The sense of peace that must have came over you when you laid your sweet baby girl in her own crib tonight...must have warmed your heart beyond words. You stayed strong. You believed. And now she is home. I am so incredibly happy and filled with joy for all of you.

So glad you're home, and can all be together again. There's no place like home and your own bed! Just in time for Taylor's graduation, and the new
granddaughter too. Great job Zoey, you look so happy to be home - - the ever present smile on your face, and color in your cheeks. Hugs, kisses, and prayers always coming your way. (Maybe you and Mark can get away for a belated anniversary dinner for 2.)

Oh my dear friend I am so thankful to hear that you are both home...beginning a new journey, a new chapter, but not soon forgetting the last as it has taught you so much, given you so much and although long, hard, scary...it will forever be a blessing to your family. Enjoy your bed, enjoy the rest of the Needhams, enjoy the peace, the comfort and know the prayers will not stop because this chapter is coming to a closer...prayers, forever my friend!

Ok, I admit...when I saw that first picture and realized that she was in her crib....I starated balling!!! I was SOOO happy to see her at home...so happy for you guys. Just look at how happy Zoey is to just be at home sitting with her family. I just can't stop tearing up at the thought of it. WELCOME HOME and I really hope that you will allow us to come visit you this summer once life settles down a little. My older girls are just dying to meet Ella's friend, Zoey.

By the way...I just looked at Zoey sleeping in her crib again and realized that Zoey is wearing the same sleeper as Ella wore to bed last night....they truly are soul sisters!!!

Aghhhhhhhh....HOME, so glad you are there! So glad for all the Needham's, a very long road you have all endured! Heather, thank you for taking us on this journey with you, you have opened a window into what the 4th floor holds that I would not have otherwise known, and forever now my prayers will include the families there.

Now...time to celebrate another graduation, a soon to be birth, a beautiful summer, and to just take in sweet Zoey's face each day....from home.

Heather...just checking in on you all and so glad to hear Miss Zoey is at home! WOW...what a journey she (and your family) has been on! Such a fighter! Hope you all have a great start to Summer at home all together!

Oh my gosh!!! I AM SO THRILLED!!!! Actually I'm crying right now. I'm so behind on reading everyone's updates, but this is the best update ever!!! Brings back so many memories. WE were almost scared to leave. I just put together out montage and I think the saddest pictures were the first bag of chemo and our reunion coming home after round 6!!!

You have so much to live for. So many more years, hooray for LIFE!!! Hooray for a cure!! And post traumatic stress, um ... yeah. But in comparison it's nothing. Just make sure you've got good meds.

Life will never be the same. You are changed, Zoey has changed (mostly b/c she's grown up so much!), your husband has changed, and your other children have changed also. There's no way to explain the phenomenon, but just know it takes time to readjust and find that NEW "normal".

Don't tell my hubby, but I really didn't like him very much for a while there coming home. He had completely changed (he lost 50 pounds in 3 months!) and I had to get to know my new husband. Weird. Anyways, the best of luck to you all as you head into this new and strange adventure called LIFE!

You'll never life another day you're not thankful for!

Love you all! Carey, Chelsea & family

P.S. How about a combo "re-birth" party next year?!!!
