Zoey Girl ....

Lots to share but can't quite pull my thoughts together tonight for some reason.I am totally and completely over saturated on all levels. It doesn't help that my new bedtime is now .. averaging 1am.I'll just leave tonight's post with a few photos and a video.I thought maybe some of you would like to see Zoey in action. She just loves being outdoors but the heat here has been unbearable and seeing that Topamax inhibits her ability to sweat and Bactrim causes her to burn easily, the sun and her, don't entirely jive. This evening it cooled off a bit early so we decided to venture out.I was completely enthralled watching her make her way around her world.I had another video, which was longer and really showed how determined and how adaptive she has become "criusing" in her own unique way. I re-watched this and the other, before I posted and so many complicated emotions surfaced.Mostly awe and wonder. She is my hero you know.Moments like this, captured for always, only confirmed it.Does she struggle daily?Absolutely. Is she happy?See for yourself.Zoey is simply amazing in my eyes.Perfect,as perfection is defined. She is a medical anomaly.A miracle. She is my girl and I am so proud to be her mother.
*Pause the blog music first.Lord knows you don't want to miss my narrative.

* Zoey's new little Sure Steps and Zoey getting into mischief ...which I personally love!

That little girl is just amazing. Nothing is going to stop her! I think of her often as I look at Kaelyn and remember what Zoey has overcome and know that Kaelyn can follow in her footsteps.

I would be so proud to be her mommy too...she is amazing! It is so good to see her in action. She is doing so well. And you are right, she is happy...she is blissfully happy I think! She loves her family ( I know that you know that), she loves the grass, she loves to explore, she loves to be outside, she loves people...she knows what it means to fight, live life to the fullest and love unconditionally! Thanks for sharing that beautiful video my dear friend! Oh and I love her new shoes!!!! xoxo

Heather, I so know what you mean. I have the same thing with Dakin--does he struggle, absolutely, but he is the happiest thing this side of the Rockies. Zoey is amazing, truly a marvel and a testament that God really is with these 'little wonders'. She is the small thing that confounds the wise.

Hugs to you.

I agree she looks great! That's the first video I've seen of her. You being so tired and overwhelmed concerns me. Out of chemo, isn't life just a little simpler?

Shucks, I would like to see her standing in her SureSteps. I take it they are new?

Get some rest, Friend.

I love her!!! What about the faces she made when Jake left on his bike. Squeeze her as tight as you can for me. She is an incredible wonder.

Heather, I loved the Zoey video! She is such an inspiration. Hey . . . Have you sent out all the bracelets? I made a $25 contribution through PayPal on August 1 but haven't received the bracelets. I know how crazy busy you are, and if you haven't sent them yet, that's perfectly okay. I am just checking in case the payment didn't reach you. Thank you, Lynn Hall

How fun to see Zoey in motion. I knew you said her way of turning direction was unique...you are right. She looks like such a big girl in the video!! And are you sure those are pictures of Ella with a mess everywhere she is???? LITERALLY, every where Ella goes, she leaves a happy little trail behind. So, is that cute heart blanket another gift??? So cute!!

She is so sweet. I loved the video and seeing those shoes...oooh right in style. The first ones are just the best.

I can see she loves the grass. And she definitely knows how to get around and into things. Just priceless.

When I read the line 'Zoey is simply amazing in my eyes', the song playing on your blog was "Amazing." Amen. What a precious gift your Zoey girl is.

Sophie use to wear SureSteps. I loved them. So easy to put on and so easy to get her shoes on over them. I am hoping we will get to switch back to them soon.
