A teeny,tiny tease ....

The butterfly's birthday celebration,or should I say birthday extravaganza, was ... incredible.Absolutely incredible. The skies cooperated. No rain until literally the party was winding down.A room filled,to the brim, with friends new and old.All of my children and my sweet, sweet grandbaby,Charlotte, together,in one place. You could actually FEEL the love in that space. And my heart, was full of thanks and gratitude. And my heart,my heart, was overflowing with .... peace. As I stood in the front of that room, with Mark and Zoey at my side, and gazed out at 70 plus people,I was in awe and I was practically speechless.I managed to to get out a few words, none of which I remember but what Mark and I will remember for a very long time to come,is the outpouring of love and support, once again for our family and most especially our courageous miracle girl.

Now to the tease... this is about the only pictures I have of the entire day that came out.The day was like a wedding.Making the rounds.Trying to spend time with guests.Trying to soak in the moments and the memories. No one in my family, other then myself, who takes seriously crappy pictures, took pictures but it's a good thing, many of our friends did.So until I gather those and sort through them ... this is about all I got.It was from the very end of the day.She was such a trooper. No nap.A froofy dress with wings and all but she hung in there ... and promptly passed out at 6:30 and slept for a solid 12 plus hours. That's my girl.Simply amazing.

Just coming up for air after a busy few weeks and finally getting over my nasty throat/sinus thing, thanks to an over due antibiotic on board.Needless to say,I am WAY behind on emails and facebook and my blog buddies.I'll play catch up over the next couple of days.Till then, know we love you and we appreciate all the support and all the beautiful birthday wishes for Miss Zoey.More to come ...

Heh. I like that word 'froofy'!

Your words were good enough to accommodate for few photos - so glad to read about the celebration of Zoe's life. Undoubtedly, an even larger crowd was with you in (cyber) spirit. Barbara
