My Beautiful Jessica Leigh
"What I wanted most for my daughter was that she be able to soar confidently in her own sky, whatever that may be."
~Helen Claes
23 years ago, an amazing little girl came blazing into my life.Perfect timing.God's, perfect timing. My life,it's direction and my purpose in this great big world, became abundantly clear. From that day forward,I have been blessed to do the only thing I ever aspired to do,be a mom.How lucky am I?And not a day goes by that I don't acknowledge that blessing.
Easter Sunday this year was,in the words of Jessica herself, the ultimate celebration of life.A beautiful day to not only rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord but to also soak in the gift of our first born.
Happy birthday Jess ... love you more than you will ever, ever know.I often look at you, and I wonder how someone so magnificent,so honest and so good, could possibly be a part of me.You are such a joy and bring so much laughter and beauty to our lives.Continue to soar and spread those wings and we will continue to look on with immense pride and feel eternally grateful that you chose us to journey along with you.
*As usual, the day got away from us and we hadn't taken a single picture. So after the boys had already showered,we figured we should probably shoot off a few. Most are self explanatory. The possible unfamiliar face is our friend Amanda.Jess and Matt met Amanda when they were at Pepperdine and they have been fast friends ever since. We kinda like her too and every Sunday she spends part of the day with us and is always here for dinner. We love her and she is more then a friend, she is family. And me,do you love the apron or what? Our impromptu picture taking session left no time for me to shed that thing but it does make for an interesting fashion accessory, don't you think?
Oh and almost forgot...Caitlin and Danny and Charlotte, weren't able to come up for the celebrations. We were sad to not have them with us but Caitlin sent me this picture of my baby girl ... isn't she darling?I miss them terribly.Charlotte is getting so big but rumor has it that Mimi and crew are heading south for a visit this weekend. So excited.

Yes, yes - a very Happy Birthday to you Jess - Does not seem possible that you arrived 23 years ago in Bingham, NY. Great photos of you and your "guys" Matt & Joe. And Heather, when I first looked I thought you had a dress on, then I realized that looks like an apron. Your explanation made everything clear...Very nice family photo (Minus a few). And oh, love Zoey and her "niece" in the bunny ears, little Miss Charlotte. (Charlie)
Packing my suitcase today and Barb & I will be in the sky by 10:15 am (eastern) tomorrow. It's finally here. Hoorah!
Aunt Bluebelle
PS Hope those earthquakes are history by the time we arrive!

I hope all of your had a very Happy Easter and a very happy birthday to your wonderful daughter Jess. I love the family photo..I did wonder for a second about your outfit, and then it occured to me that it was your apron, but love it! I love that picture of Zoey, love that experession.
Happy Birthday!
Happy Belated Birthday Jess!!! I am hopelessly behind in reading my blogs so sorry the birthday wish is late. As well as the Happy Easter wish. You guys actually did better than us when it came to pictures. We didn't get ANY with everyone and only got a few of the kids. IF you do make it down to SD this weekend, let us know if you have a moment to spare. Abbey has been begging me to go to SD on friday (she loves it down there) and maybe we could use an extra excuse!! Miss you guys.
