Friday beach day.A week late.

Well,if you can believe it,Southern California is about the only place, in the entire country, that isn't warm.Sweltering in fact.On the contrary,we are down right doomy and gloomy here. The sun decides to take it's sweet ole time and shows it's face around 4pm or so.Chances are there will most likely not be a beach day tomorrow.Besides, that lazy magic packing fairy has been making herself scarce around here for the last few weeks so I suppose I better get my little butt in gear.Truck comes Saturday. So yeah, beach will be a no go.

Here are last weeks beach pictures. They speak for themselves. In another life I am coming back filthy rich and plan on living right on the beach. For now,a weekly trip will have to do.More updates to follow another day because I hear some moving boxes calling my name...I wish they'd be quiet.

My California beach girl.Oh how I love this child. The picture of her with her little index finger on her chin,is what she does when she is thinking! In this case, she was deciding what song she wanted her Auntie Michelle to sing to her.Cracks me up.

Jake spent the longest time perfecting his sandcastle. There is just something about these pictures that I love.I think it is just the pure innocence of it all.

The boogie boarding buddies ...Logan,Jake,J.P. and Joe

Zoey was fascinated with the whole "being buried in the sand" process!

Oh my......I think I have found a new favorite picture of Zoey. I love the one with her index finger to her check....LOVE IT!!! I am not complaining one bit about our weather. I know it will be hot soon enough so I am loving every last minute of this gloomy weather.

Hugs to your little angel .)

there is something magical about pictures of children at the beach! And then again, your children are just magical too!

And can you believe your East coast friends from the Ocean State haven't even stepped foot on a beach yet this summer!!

Sorry for the gloom and the missed trip to the beach. Hopefully you have some family fun at home, although packing doesn't sound like much fun. Good luck.

Zoey looks so grown up. She has lost the baby look and looks like a full fledged little girl. When on earth did that happen? :)

She is beautiful! And growing so much. Love the little pig tails.

Sorry to hear about your gloomy weather. I've heard on the weather channel that you guys aren't having a very warm summer. In the mean time, we are sizzling in Michigan.

Great pictures! I particularly love any picture of a child with their back to the camera and the ocean spread out before them. It is magical.
I must have missed that you are moving. Yuck - I love the adventure of it but hate the hassel.
Good luck.

Who has more fun than your family? I can't think of anyone. The picture with Zoey's index finger on her chin, that is exactly what Kristen does when I ask her a question that involves a choice. So cute.

I love Zoey's hair!!!! She is sooo adorable. This gloom is too much. As soon as the sun pops out I try to get everybody out of the house so we can experience some warmth! Hope the move goes smoothly.

Awww, your breaking my 'sweating in 100 degree weather' heart about not being able to get to the beach last Friday... yes, that is sarcasim you are noting, lol!
But there is no sarcasim in telling you how sorry I am you gotta do the whole packing thing, moving and boxing is THE WORST. But it will all be worth it when it is done, the house sounds amazing!!
P.S. In that other 'filthy rich, house right on the beach' life, can I be your neighbor??

Ground me from my computer this instance!!! How dare I post a comment and fail to mention how absolutely adorable my Z looks! Actaully, I am loving how all of your precious ones look... summer and sand certainly agree with Jake and Joe as well!!
Love you guys, hope the move went well!

Heather,
I came across this today. I know it is in poor taste but it still made me smile and absolutely made me think of you:

God never gives us more than He believes we can handle...apparently He believes I'm a bad-ass.
