And for your listening pleasure,a Halloween diddy by Mr.Joe ...

Joe started playing piano in July and he just loves it.At first glance, the piano seems a bit contradictory to my constant,in motion, little guy and at the beginning it was definitely difficult to keep him focused at the task at hand but once we put the head phones in and he could tune out the distraction around him,he was all business.Takes it very seriously. But has fun along the way.The other day he sat down and started figuring out,by ear,the theme to Sesame Street ... much do the delight of Zoey Grace.

Awesome. Hope he sticks with it. It's something that he can always use in his life as a tool for a LOT of things.

Richard plays the piano. Piano is an instrument I have a deep respect for and I wish I had learned at some point. I used to play a few woodwinds, and wish I'd played piano instead and really stuck with it.

BRAVVVOOOOOOOOO!!!! Hope he sticks with it. I started at his age playing and still play the piano today. Also picked up the guitar along the way. Both are Great therapy for me.

Much love to you guys

Music is so great for kids. It is amazing for their development. It seems like it fits the bill for Joe perfectly. And being able to pick out the Sesame Street theme at his age is awesome. He'll never regret leaerning to play. That much I can promise.

Music is GREAT! I have a son with Asperberger's in college. He is a music education major. He just started formal piano, he needs it for his major. He plays tuba & sax. He has been "picking" & playing by ear. His band director said "music is the only thing that requires them to use both sides of the brain". My austic high schooler plays things on the computer or his MP3 player - he then pauses goes to the keyboard & works at until he gets it. We tried formal lessons & he didn't touch the keyboard for six weeks. We never went back after the first lessson.
I hope Joe keeps it up.
