So long Thanksgiving, bring on Christmas ...

No joke. This is the only picture I have of Thanksgiving. The only one.Our very nontraditional meal of Mark's famous chicken wings, sweet potato fries, delicious and I mean delicious, new coleslaw we tried.Ina's yummy mac&cheese,Ina's(can you tell I love the Barefoot Contessa)corn casserole and finally,my first try at a chocolate/pumpkin cheese cake.Matt also made some incredible pumpkin cookies. We were full and happy and so did not, miss Tom the turkey.

We had such amazing time, just hanging out, that we just lost track of the days. Each day passed, someone would comment that we hadn't taken a single picture and I would say,"We'll get some tomorrow."And tomorrow never came. But memories we have.Lots of those and each of us declared this, the best Thanksgiving.Ever.

Charlotte is getting so big.Beautiful as ever. And I do believe, although we do not see her nearly as often as I would like,I do believe she loves her Mimi. And I so love her.Speaking of Mimi.Caitlin has been trying to get her to say my name,or her name for me,which is Mimi.Caitlin would ask her,"Charlotte, say Mimi" and right on cue, each and every time,Zoey would smile ever so proudly and point repeatedly,to herself! So darn cute and smart,if I do say so myself. The other thing that Zoey did, that we thought was absolutely hysterical, was one time, when Caitlin laid Charlotte down to change her diaper,Caitlin unfastened Charlotte's onesie and lifted her t-shirt and Zoey, without missing a beat, signed "milk" ... as if every kid has a g-tube and receives their milk via it,when laying down!So darn funny.

All is well here.Beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The house is decorated inside and out.Cards are hitting the post office tomorrow and shopping is well under way.As for my black Friday outing.Had a absolute blast with my girlfriend.Serious people watching opportunities. But,don't think I will be doing it again next year.At least not quite as early.Pretty sure I could get a few more hours of sleep and the deals will still be waiting for me.

Speaking of waiting ... the rest of my sharing will have to do just that.More tomorrow.

Now that we are a member of the G-tube club, I got quite a chuckle out of that comment :) And thanks but no thanks because now you have me seriously craving those chicken wings. I think it is your civic duty to bring some to me ASAP. I am impressed with your Christmas organization. Now you can just enjoy the season!!

The food looks yummy and thanks for receipes. I'm positive baby Charlotte loves her mimi! And so cute, Zoey's responses to Charlotte's happenings.
Only sorry no photos - we are all sad out here in blog land sniff, sniff.. oh well maybe next holiday... (I simply cannot believe that no adult in that house took a photo). Must be those wings & fries put everyone in dream land.

Glad you had fun with girlfiend on Black Friday. I agree, most items will still be there and mabe at a better price another day.

Take care

Too funny about Zoey's assumptions about her g-tube! Love it!

I love reading about other people's holiday traditions, including the non-tradional meals. My cousins have a Christmas pizza tradition (home made, of course), which I always found funny. Btw, that chocolate/pumpkin cheesecake sounds divine...
