"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow."~Helen Keller

A few pictures of my little sunshine, who continues to light the way for me.This round seems to be taking it's toll on me physically and emotionally, whereas Zoey continues to not miss a beat. Her numbers are on the decline and by the beginning of next week we should have a better idea of how long we might be hanging around CHLA.Should, being the operative word.Zoey is still sporting that pasty white glow.Hemoglobin is not too awfully low but the way things are looking,a transfusion will probably be in order soon.If not Friday than over the weekend for sure.Last round Zoey only had one transfusion of red and no platelets.Hoping for a similar round. At the risk of sounding like a broken record,I am exhausted.By the time I sit down at night,I barely have enough energy to post let alone check on our friends. So friends, sorry. You are all never far from my heart and I think and pray for you often. That's all, as I am truly unable to keep my eyes open for another minute. Our humble thank you's ... as always.

*Dad surprised us and stopped by for lunch.Nice distraction in our day .Zoey wanted nothing to do with me once Mark walked through the door.

Heather thanks again for thinking about all of us out here waiting to hear how Zoey is doing. She is so beautiful- precious pictures. Try to take care of yourself, schedule in some rest for "you", if at all possible.Don't sweat the small stuff. If everything is not in it's place when you get home at night, so be it. There is always tomorrow to straighten up. Stay strong, all our prayers and hugs, Stephanie

Thank you for taking the time to update, I find myself checking your blog alot. I know how exhausting the hospital can be and how exhausting it can be to have a little one so sick...I hope you were able to sleep well last night....

Girls and their daddy's!!! Heather I am always second fiddle the minute John shows up too. Sarah and I have been doing too much late night partying this week so we are way behind in reading about our friends. I am so glad to hear Zoey's numbers are heading in the right direction. She continues to just look so precious. What a ray of sunshine she is. I continue to pray for your strength too as a know these continual days in and out of the hospital can be so draining.

Miss Zoey is getting to be such a big girl. Seems like not too long ago you were trying to get her to learn to sit, now she's sitting o the bench with Mark! Take a minute to reflect on how much you've gone through and you'll remember why you're so tired! Heather, you're doing a terrific job of keeping everything moving. Thinking and praying for you every day! Give Miss Zoey lots of hugs and kisses - Christy Pinuelas

My dear friend...I am so sorry this week is weighing heavy on you...I can only imagine. Please know you have so many people praying for you, thinking of you daily and loving you, even if it's from so far away. You don't need to worry about anything outside of the Needham family and that 4th floor room. You fight with and for your little girl, cherish the happy moments, search for the sunshine and pray my friend....then when it's all said and done, just breathe and know the rest will fall into place. Thinking of you so very often...please call if you need anything!

Hang in there, and no worries or apologies need, your friends know you think of them. Feeling the need to see how everyone else is doing right now may be a bit more than you need to deal with. Take care of you, your family and our lovely and brave hero... there will be time enough to check on others later, anyone who knows you and loves you won't mind a bit!!!
I know your tired but I am dying to talk to you, will call soon in the hopes I catch you.
Much love to you all!

Isn't that typical! Reagan is the same exact way! She could care less about her Mommy...but give her a Daddy or a Grandma and she's happy as can be! Give me a call when you get a chance! I miss talking to you!

I hope her counts start increasing again soon so you both can go home!

You would never know she was sick. She looks so happy and healthy!

Isn't that always how it goes? Once daddy arrives, move over mommy? haha, it happens to me every day!
