So if we were at the beach,it must have been Friday ...

We are back on track for our Friday beach day.Although,Miss Zoey did have a summer cold of her own this week.Actually started last week and instead of seeming to be better, her cough sounds down right yucky. She was not quite her happy little self today. You could see it in her eyes.In fact, you all could probably see it in her eyes for yourself.Just click on her picture and it blows the picture up a bit and you can see her left eye is a bit "floaty".Leftside=stroke side= extra lazy when she his feeling down. But no worries, off to Carpinteria we went and can I tell you how much I love it there?I mean I really love it.Super relaxing and I just love watching the kids soaking up the sun and doing their carefree kid stuff and of course there is people watching.I am a huge people watcher.Lots of people watching material at the beach. As an added bonus this week our friend Seana and her little guy Logan and his buddy JP,happened to be there as well so it made for an extra special day.Suffice it to say it was another beautiful Southern California day at the beach.

We finished up the day at a cute little candy shop in the heart of the charming town of Carpinteria,Robitailles.Wow.So much to choose from.Everything you could possibly imagine and boy did I live and breathe the old adage,"like a kid in a candy shop".I am not sure who enjoyed the pitstop more,me or the boys.Yum.

So that is about all.Well, except for this little tid bit. That isn't going to end up being a short little tid bit to explain:Without going into too much detail,I have decided to start another blog. This blog,Little Wonders will remain in place. How could it not? This is Zoey's space.Primarily Zoey's space, at least. This blog has evolved into a place to share with the world and with anyone who wants to listen, her story.A story which has become a testament of strength and perseverance and a gift to all those who choose to tag a long.I want to keep all who love her and pray for her, up to speed on all the wondrous things she is doing.I mostly want this blog to be the place a person or a family finds, when they too have come to the "edge of all the light"they know and I want Zoey and her amazing, resilient spirit to be their "solid to stand on".I entertained, for a brief moment, taking this private, but in the end, knew I couldn't.So,the next logical choice was another blog. And why,you may ask,am I telling you all this?Because, with the private blog, I can only take along 100 readers.Seems like a lot at fist glance but really, not so much. What I need to know is exactly how many would like to be "invited"?"Invited",sounds a bit formal doesn't it ... not my word though, but bloggers word.Maybe,I need to tell you what exactly the new blog will be about for you to decide. And I would, if I knew. And I guess that is the point. Not entirely sure.Maybe a bit more about me.You know, the person I was before I became the me of today. And probably lots about the me of today and how I am finding my way through this crazy life as a middle aged mom of 6.Did I just say middle aged?Probably and most likely, more family stuff. And we got a lot of stuff.Maybe I just cut out a vast majority of potential followers with that broad and brief description.Hard to say. What I do know,is this:

In beginning another blog,my reasoning is two fold.1.This space,Little Wonders, is like scared ground to me and I never want to taint that with anything.Ever.2.I have a very complicated extended family situation. One that would leave the Lifetime Channel drooling. Not trying to make light of it but that situation seriously leaves me with no other choice,at this time, but to go private. So,if you are interested in riding the crazy train with me,let me know. You won't be forced in staying. You can bale ship at anytime. No hurt feelings.I have come to realize in my advanced age that I am not everyones cup of tea. And,may I say,for what seems like the first time in my life,I am okay with that. Here's my email,witchypoo4@msn.com.I know, weird email.Don't ask.Dates back to me being in love with a boy named Jimmy.Anyway, let me know and I'll let you all know when it's up and running.Sounds like some covert operation doesn't it? Or perhaps someone who needs to not think so highly of themselves.I prefer to think the former.

Great pics of the beach...some place I know Ella won't be visiting this summer thanks to her broviac line. But secretly I am a little happy as I haven't gotten my bikini bod ready yet anyway (will I ever?) Glad you guys had a great time. And, duh, of course I want to follow you into your crazy other life that you have given me a teasing glimpse into :)

I am sorry to hear that she's not feeling well though and will continue to pray that she's back to her self in no time.

Count me in! Zoey looks precious! When I was in SC I told my mom that I have definitely done my kids a disservice by not living by the beach!

Is everyone sick or what? School gets out and BAM! We just went through the entire family with some awful cold/flu thing. I'd love to follow a new blog, but since the invites are limited I'm also happy to get the scoop from my mom : ) I've been so lazy about my blog lately, and it's partially because I feel like a lot of family/personal stuff doesn't necessarily belong on the www for various reasons. Maybe I will go private too, and then get back to more regular posting.

Heather,

I would love to be invited to your other blog...I have been reading here for a while I came over from Larkins Place about the time Miss Zoey received the Leukamia diagnosis...my girls are just a little older than your "big girls" and I would love to learn more about you!

Glad you had a great day at the beach!

What an adorable picture with Zoey right in there with all the boys! Heather you and I are the same age and quite frankly "middle-aged" and "advanced-age" are not appropriate terms for us fabulous 40 somethings! Vibrant and full of energy and life are much better (or so I tell myself - lol :) I would love to be part of your new blog if you have the space. Your journey and your amazing writing style and very inspirational.

I'm just a silent follower who stumbled across your blog one day, many moons ago. I've since grown quite attached to you and your beautiful family, and always look forward to seeing a new post from you. That being said, I'd love the opportunity to learn more about you and how your family came to be, but I totally understand if you'd rather not invite a complete stranger into such a private place. Thank you for allowing us to continue knowing and growing with Zoey!

Haven't commented on my favorite blogs much, but have peeked in and when I did happen upon this a week or so ago, it was 98 degrees and miserable here, then when I came back a few days ago, we were on our 5th day of rain... so you see, I can only partially be happy for you guys having this kind of fun, the envy just gets in the way!!!!! ;-)
