Where does Friday find us?

Not at the beach,as we had hoped.Jake came down with a cold and a sore throat.Literally out of the blue last night, so we are laying low.Consolation prize:Toy Story 3 tonight.Which, if the reviews are correct,is suppose to be the best one yet.Jessica was 8 when the first one was released in 1995 and was a Toy Story addict!Even convinced me to buy her Toy Story sheets, which,I must say, goes against every fiber in me.I'm weird like that. But she loved, loved, loved that movie. The upside is that we saved all her very cool character toys and Jake has followed in her footsteps with the his love of Buzz,Woody and company. So that is the evening plan. Not much else to report as it is fairly mellow around here since summer began.Well,as mellow as our hectic lives can be.

I love these pictures of Zoey for some reason.I think because, before my eyes she is looking very"toddlerish".She is still so itty-bitty.Still like barely 24 pounds but her tiny face is changing.I look at her sometimes and think she doesn't look like a baby to me anymore and it must be that little attitude she sports as well that is the tip off too.Oh boy, what a stubborn little thing.Let's you know,in no uncertain terms, what she is happy with and without. She has little glares and stare downs she gives you when she is bugged by you and,if you can believe it ... holds a grudge.Yep,if you say, accidentally scratch her or bump her, well, she gives you this look, signs hurt AND sorry and doesn't leave it at that.15 minutes later you will receive the very same look accompanied by the hurt sign ... again!Oh if this child could talk,I could only imagine what she would say.And you know, something in me can't wait to actually hear her attitude .. a spunky, feisty girl with Down syndrome .. heaven if you ask me!

In these pictures she is doing one of her most favorite things ... watching TV.I think I have a TV junkie on my hands. The child wants Sesame Street,Signing Time,Raffi and Barney .. all the time. She signs for "Signing time" but the others become a guessing game, with her usually throwing herself back when you ask her if she wants a certain one and it is the wrong one. However, when you hit paydirt with the right choice, she feverishly signs "yes" and nods and smiles.Thinking this would be the perfect opportunity with pictures so she can choose by pointing. Her therapists that are reading this are also feverishly nodding their heads as well,I just know it!Then there is the situation of someone else watching a program or playing Wii.She signs "all done" over and over hoping that she will get her way.So cute so I have to tell you, sometimes she does get her way.She does know the sign for "wait" and "turn" and we are really trying to have her grasp those concepts but I have to once again tell you,it is so darn hard for us to say no to this child.I think,or actually I know,we are in trouble ... she rules us,she directs us and I'm okay with that,I think she has earned it.

I couldn't agree more...she is a beutiful, toddlerish looking girl who deserves to get her way after all the fights she has fought....and won!!! She definitely does look older in these pics. Maybe it is the stylish outfit!! She and Ella are so similar. As always, I wish we lived closer so they could just sit and watch their shows together!!

My girl - as a youngster, toddler, big girl, teen or adult - will always be a beauty . And yes, she has earned her way into steeling everyone's hearts, and getting everything she wants along the way.... :)

Love love to you all!

Zoey is so amazing, all of you are. Hope Jake is feeling better. Check out those wonderful pictures. Heather, I believe Zoey is more than "Toddler-ish", she is "Gorgeous & Petite Little Girl-ish." Sorry... I beg to differ. Always has the perfect attitude. I could never tell her "no" either.....

Seriously?!? Are you going to ever make this child have a need for the signs 'wait' and 'turn'? I would hope NOT!! Strict orders from Texas to give this little love any thing she wants, at any time of day? Got it???
(Like I really need to tell any of you that! Spoiled indeed by all of you.... but deservingly so!)
Lovin the big girl clothes, no onesie under this top and she looks beautiful!! I have been thinking for some time now just how 'grown up' she looks in some of her pictures. I think it is that amazing head of hair!! Or at least that is part of it!
I just love this girl, give her a HUGE hug and kiss!
Talk to you next week?!! Missya!

Wow these are really beautiful pictures of Zoey, and you're absolutely right she is looking quite the young lady in these pictures, even her face is looking less like a baby. Absolutley adorable

And I know what you mean about the can't say no thing, I'm getting scared that our Saira is going the same way, no one dares to say anything to her, she really rules the roost and knows it as well!

Hope you enjoyed Toy Story, we're waiting to see it as well. Just waiting for my mom to get out of the hospital and things can get a little more normal around here.

Hugs to Miss Zoey and I must say I love her attitude!!

this is the second post today that I have read about our babies looking more like big girls. I completely agree...where has the time gone?

Zoey is looking as sweet as ever in these pics and very much like a big girl! I love that she has the big girl 'tude to go along with it. Sounds like someone that lives in my house ;)

Jake, hope you are feeling better...

Great photos Heather!

Miss Z does have more of a "grown up" (versus baby) look just since April when she was smiling and "talking" to Gramma & me in her own magical way. Attitude is okay Miss Z! Feisty is awesome! Keep it coming little one!

I luv them...She is so beautiful and her hair is getting so long and pretty...A girl with a little attitude goes a long way....Watch out everyone when she gets big...LOL....I love to set a watch lil one and how they express themselves. And really wonder what they are thinking...Gods blessing is all these special T21 friends/families. I thank GOD for giving me this opportunity to be a part of Presley and her family lives. If I was younger I would have a house filled with all these loves. Hats off to u and this blog family(luv reading ur blogs)...You bless my life daily.

She certainly is growing up and the pictures are so full of life. It's hard to believe the journey this little bundle of joy has taken to get here.
