Leaving on a jet plane ....

 Photobucket
This picture has nothing to do with the post but I just think she looks so darling. And as Caitlin says, it's always all about Zoey anyway!

Oh no, not actually scardy-cat flier me, but Mark and the boys. Bright and early and I do mean early, Sunday morning, they will be flying out to the East Coast. They will be visiting Niagara Falls and then heading to Mark's family cottage in Upstate New York, for a week long vacation before we sorrowfully bid farewell to summer. It is the last hurrah before school begins on the 31st.Which, as far as summer goes, evaporated before our very eyes. I am super excited for the boys and Mark to spend this guy time together and equally, if not more, excited for Mark's family, who is just beside themselves to be having them come for this visit. Miss Zoey and I will be hanging back, for a plethora of reasons, which I will delve into in a later post. As for the rest of the crew, well, they are just swamped with work and nursing school and grad school and a host of other obligations that just couldn't be missed. I will be posting updates on everyone in the next few days. Until then, please keep Mark, Jake and Joe in your prayers for safe travels and for me, an over protective, high anxiety filled momma, who frets like no other when her babies are not at my side.

BEAUTIFUL Miss Zoey!! She has grown so much and I love that hair, she is getting to be quite a young lady. I know I have soooo much catching up to do, which I am doing slowly, missed so much yet it feels like the other day. I really hope all of you have been well. Hope the boys have a great time, I will say a prayer for their safety.

SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!
They are probably flying over my house. Why didn't you go too?? You could have made a pit stop.!

You could have sedated yourself for the flight!

UGH, and I share your anxiety about sending them off. Praying for you to have peace while they are away.

I'm just like that too. I'm up at the crack of dawn this morning, on my morning to sleep... why ? Because Peter left with Sophia and Bella to go clamming. Low tide was at 6 this morning. Worried something will happen because I'm not there to protect them. I should be medicated 24/7 LOL

Hugs!!

That's so great for a "boy's" trip! Hope they have a wonderful time. Btw, there seriously doesn't need to be *any* correlation between the photo and the post, as long as it's a pic of Zoey. Thanks for loaning me that beautiful, angelic face this morning (while Samantha's is glued to the mini-dvd player...)!!!!

Do you give them a medal or anything related to Saint Christopher to travel with? Did you know that in all my years of 'Faithlessness' that I still did carry something? The one I have is a real beat up one though, but still 'works'. :)

I have this photo in a frame along with Charlotte's photos (Xmas gift) and the family photo from our West Coast visit 1/1/2 years ago.

AND...... we are all "OVER THE MOON" knowing the "BOYS" will be arriving for few days. Praying they will have a safe and happy trip to Niagara Falls. Then it's off to Otisco Lake Monday afternoon. (about 2 hour drive)

Everyone is so excited!!!

I took a trip to Niagra Falls with my mom and dad when I was about your son's age. We drove from California. We did all the tourist things. Dad and I also went to see the old couple who had mostly raised him.

Your boys are at the perfect age. I think it will be with them in the most special and fondest of memories for the rest of their lives "Remember the time..."

I remember that vacation like it was a couple of years ago.

Maybe they can each make you a special personalized postcard for you to cherish. When you are old and grey, you can return them for them to cherish.

Watch the movie "Niagra" with Marlyn Monroe and Joseph Cotton. Even if you don't like thrillers, the scenery will give you the feeling you are at the Falls doing tourist things. Shame there aren't motels like that anymore.

Enjoy your time alone with Zoey. Make it special for you. Well, especially so.
