"For some moments in life, there are no words." ~David Selzer

A year and a half ago, my friend Joany lost her precious Carly. Unexpected and without warning. Devastating. Simply devastating. To Joany, to her husband Paul and to her sister Ashleigh and brother Brad. A family taken out at the knees and a family just barely now, trying to pick themselves up and inch their way back to navigating this life without Carly. And last night, unexpected and without warning, another  unspeakable tragedy. Their son Brad, was killed in a house fire. A fire that not only took the life of their son, but left them without a home. Complete loss. Their son, their belongings and to add to the sheer cruelty of the situation, Carly's things. Their tangible memories of their precious girl.

I have so much I could say but why bother. None of it would be positive and none of it would be spiritual. At least right now. So it's best left. With no words. Because in the end are there really any? Any words, to bring any understanding to something of this magnitude. Nope, I really don't think there are. Perhaps there never will be.

oh my word....I have no words...just a huge terrible knot in my stomach as I continued reading this. I had to go back and read again to make sure it was real because I truly did not believe it ! I hardly know Joany, but remember the day she lost Carly and I think about her often and now this....oh my...if you hear of anything we can do from afar, please let me know. For now, I will pray.

No Heather, there is no understanding of something like this, not on a cerebral level and not on a spiritual level, at least not this side of heaven.

I am still in shock over the news. The first thing I thought of, aside from the devastation of losing ANOTHER child, was all of those precious, 100% irreplaceable, things that she kept to remind her of Carly. The clothes, the pictures (hopefully she was using a backup service on her computer).
Yes, there are no words. Other than questions. It doesn't get much sadder. How does one overcome something like this? Praying for them.

There really are no words that can describe this. I have been following Joany's blog for some time and can not comprehend that fate has gone after them again.
They will be in my prayers. x

Life can be such a cruel and awful thing. The times it knocks you to your knees and there are no words or prayers or positive thoughts. We yell out to a god that apparently does not hear or listen.
I don't know what else to say except nobody should ever have to bury a child, let alone two.
I am so very sorry for this family's unfathomable loss.

Any word on what is going on with the family? Can't find any news on any fire or death in Stockbridge, Mi. Let us know if there is any place we can send sentiments and assistance for the George family.

Sending prayers of strength for your friend and her family. I know that life is not fair, I've heard that since I was a child, but this is simply cruel. One family should not have to go through such struggle and loss. So incredibly sorry and sad.

I read this first thing this morning and sobbed. Computer crashed. Its back up and I am here to write a comment, but what to say? I feel so sick for this family. How do I even write a 31 for 21 post when every- thing feels so insignificant compared to this. hugs and prayers for you too my friend.

OMG How terrible for this family. My prayers and thoughts go out to them. Where is their home? (state) Is there a location where financial help can be sent?

You are right, there are no words. The pain of this is HUGE in my heart. If there is ANYTHING we can do to support them in ANY way, please let us know. Oh my heart is broken for them. I almost can't comprehend it....oh God. It hurts to breathe....to even think casually when people on this Earth are going through such tremendous pain. God give us all strength....
