"Perhaps they are not stars, but openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down and let's us know they are happy."~Eskimo Proverb

Today the sad news came that sweet and precious baby Luke, our very first little friend we met here on our latest journey at CHLA,has passed away. Our heart aches for the entire Piersol family and all who loved Luke and we ask God to cover them all with His amazing grace and carry them as they begin this new chapter in life without Luke.Rest well my tiny but mighty fighter. You are so loved.

Heather, I think it is news like this that keeps me a bit further away than I should be. I'm a wimp, I can't bear to hear this stuff, I hate knowing this exists. I told Mike yesterday that prior to Pres coming into our life, it didn't seem quiet as heartbreaking, I guess it didn't seem 'real', or it was something that happened to 'other people'. Now I know how untrue that is and I hate the lurking of it so very, very close. My heart aches for Luke's family, my heart aches that you have to see this daily...
I promise to pray a hundred prays for that family.
It just makes no sense.

Also I know that this is terrible for you, because it brings the dark side of being in that hospital so near. I wish you strenght to go through these sad moments.

All my prayers for R3 sonn to be finished.

So sad. I will definitely say an extra prayer for Luke's family. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for you to deal with this on a daily basis. Keeping you and Zoey in my prayers as always.

Oh my heart breaks for them...I find the tears flowing at the thought that losing our 'little one's' is more real then it has ever been. I know he is up with his Heavenly Father and happy, healthy and strong. Even though I know that, the thought of saying 'goodbye' to a child rips my heart apart. We will certainly remember them in our family prayers. And you, my dear friend, stay strong, carry on and enjoy each day! Hopefully we can all carry each other through!
