"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in a while you could miss it." ~From the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off

We have really tried to subscribe to Ferris' way of thinking this summer. We have tried to soak in every bit of it.Probably were a few more things we could have squeaked in and wished we had done, isn't there always but on the whole, summer 2010,has been a great one.

Wednesday turned into our standard "Friday beach day" this week,as today we were otherwise engaged. That sounds as if we had something really important to do but translates to:I had to clean my house for a very special visitor that is arriving tonight.More about that later, back to our beach day, which was beautiful,as always.Zoey spent the majority of it at waters edge, loving every moment.Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post.

She was in heaven letting the waves roll gently over her!

She worked so hard to make her way to this girl to check out what she was up to!

Joe found friends from school a bit up from us and was having a blast digging a deep trench!

After a wet bathing suit change,Zoey was content snuggling in with Jake. And he loved every minute of it.

This past week we made a trip to Glendale to the Galleria.Jake has wanted to check out the Lego store they have there and boy was it a Lego store!Every kind of Lego you could possibly imagine. The boys had so much fun and left with a few really cool things. The favorite of which was a Lego Harry Potter game that they have played all week long. After, we went to this amazing pizza place. The restaurant was super busy and we didn't start eating til after 8:30 but the kids were such troopers and the food was worth the wait and Zoey, well, she just loved the entire evening!

And in other news:Joe has had a much better week. Not because of the new medication but because we in fact STOPPED the new medication. We have learned the hard way, that Joe and traditional stimulants used for ADHD,are not a good mix.At all.

Also, once again,it looks like Miss Zoey has fallen in the small percentage. That not being a good thing, and it appears that her tear duct has closed shut, despite surgery. What a bummer.Huge bummer. What to do with this girl. What to do.Pow-wow with the surgeon next week.

Finally,to my house guest:

I suppose I should say house guest'S,because her mommy and daddy are coming too. Charlotte Claire is coming tonight to see Mimi and Pop-Pop and a very excited Uncle Joe,who hasn't stopped talking about their pending arrival, all day!

Pictures to follow after the weekend, that is for sure ... now for precious Zoey at the beach!

She is such an amazing little girl, such determination, I had tears in my eyes watching, but happy tears.

The pictures are beautiful and one can see from them just how much fun Zoey is having. I am sorry though about the tear duct, that's so crazy after going through the surgery being back to square one, really not fair. I hope something can be done about it!

Enjoy your weekend with your very special house guests, can't believe Charlotte is already standing up, gosh time does fly.

I love that video! Look at her getting right in the middle of the kids. Emily does the SAME thing - she loves to be surrounded by running, yelling, crazy kids. :)

I forgot to mention about her tear duct! I can't believe it's blocked again already, after just having it opened. That really sucks! Do they have a better plan to keep it open? Poor babe.

So glad to hear Joe is having (and everyone else)a better week. These meds - strange how they play out in each person's body. Sorry Miss Z about your tear duct. bummer to say the least.

And..... Yes, you are having some very SPECIAL guests for the weekend. Enjoy every minute of it.
Expect to see tons of pics of the family weekend!

Love & hugs

PS I simply adore the photo of Jake & Zoey. He is the most gentle and sweet brother any little girl could have! The photo says it all...

How disappointing about the teat duct. No surprise thoguh I'm sure about playing the precentages. I cringe anytime a doc mentions statistics. The picture of Jake and Zoey is going to be one that warms your heart many many years from now. Simply beautiful! I almost bought the HP Lego game this week - is it really fun? Enjoy your grandbaby!

Those pigtails kill me! I love her! She sure works hard to get where she wants to go. I'm shocked that she doesn't mind the cold water when the wave hits her! Great job Zoey!

Oh my goodness!!! On vacation for a while and all these great posts to catch up on. What an adorable picture of Joe and Zoey. That needs a frame! LOVE Zoey in the water - truly adorable. Darn that tear duct :( So glad to hear Joe is doing better. I can't believe they're back to school in 1 week. I'm really bummed. What a treat to have Charlie and mom and dad with you. Hope Jessica's feeling better.
