Bullet points ...

* So you know how I said we were not actually down and out from some nasty virus that had infiltrated our home?Well I lied.Big time.Seriously, this is the sickest I have been in,well,I can't actually tell you how long because it has been just that LONG.And yes, just that bad.Jess and I hit the hardest and the littles, thank goodness, not too bad.We put Zoey on an antibiotic early in the game and what might have begun with a virus, was obviously much more because once we started her on amoxicillin, she made a nice turn around.Today was her first day back at school in over a week. With some antibiotics on board for Jess and I,I do believe we will be back in the game of life before long. Not that life stopped in the first place. There was no rest for the weary. No naps,no early to bed and no magic fairies that came and took care of the children, the cleaning and the laundry.I wish.Today when I stepped out and turned my face to the sun,I paused for a moment and literally thanked God for feeling better.

* Charlotte is settling in and seems to be adjusting to her new surroundings with ease. She seems to enjoy the constant activity level around here and we sure do enjoy watching her darling little antics daily.

We have nicknamed her "The Hurricane",as the child can blow through a room like no other. Not complaining though,it is just so much fun watching a toddler doing her thing!

I just love this picture. It is so Charlotte ... a little shy and coy with a bit of trouble mixed in.

* Jake had a little mini rock concert on Saturday night.Right in his element that child of mine. The sometimes serious, artistic type.Strumming along with his instructor to "Living on a Prayer".Will be so interesting to see him in 10 years and where music is in his life.I will have to pull out some old footage and show you him at 2 and 3,guitar in hand.Really strange how life comes full circle like that sometimes.

Feel free to just watch a bit.Mostly for the long distance relatives enjoyment.

* For those of you who clicked on my Reece's Rainbow links, and are at all interested in that organization and it's mission, you might be interested in knowing, that yesterday we had a fairly major Hollywood television personality, come forward and attach herself to the cause.Patricia Heaton, best known for her role on "Everybody Loves Raymond",found out about the plight of these orphans and pledged $10,000 to RR.Her desire to bring about awareness and need for us to all step outside our comfort zones,is both greatly appreciated and tremendously inspiring. If you are interested, please click here to see what she had to say.

Photobucket
Zoey waving to one of the little neighbors, who she so desperately tries to scoot around and keep up with.

* And finally, thank you to all of you who came to my pity party.I don't throw them often but when I do,I sure do realize how grateful I am to have this little space to vent.Your words of understanding, support and advice are such a source of gratitude for me.And come Saturday,we will get right back on the horse and take her to another game and hope through time, exposing her to venues like that will lessen her sensitivity and she will embrace and enjoy those, just as she does most everything else in her little life. She really does bring pure joy to my soul.

I was talking to Caitlin and telling her how much Char looks like Jake and Joe. And I don't think that girl sat still for 5 seconds at the party. She is just too cute. Glad you all are finally feeling better. I think Carter has RSV, so we may just be getting started with crap!

Hi! I found your blog a few weeks ago and I have been reading from the beginning almost non stop...I don't know that I have adequate words to say how I feel about it.....I found it incredibly moving and insprational. I can tell from some of your entries that it hasn't always been easy to share your private lives with the public, but I am so glad you have chosen to. I have enjoyed every minute of reading, I was sad that I wasn't reading your blog when I saw you started your new one because I would love to read that one as well. I hope you will keep sharing your story, it is one that needs to be told so that we can maybe begin to erase some of the horrible ignorance that plagues this world. By the way, just to introduce myself so I am not some weird creepy stranger, I am a 31 year old living in Maryland. I currently work in an inclusionary preschool with 2 1/2-5 years olds including children with special needs. I love what I do. It brings me such joy. Anyway, thank you for writing and for sharing your beautiful, amazing family! ♥

So at the basketball game you were also sick? Oh Heather you need to go to bed and rest when you are sick!... My workaholic husband lives for these days(probably 4 days total in our 19 year relationship).... but even he goes to bed and heartily enjoys every minute of it (...and he does the same for me ) So here is your Rx.... Saturday all day in bed with everyone doing for you no matter how "well" you feel!...you need to make up for some lost time!

Rock on Jake!

And...these bugs going around are NOTHING to mess with anymore. I have lost a clients 20 year old dad, a good friend http://milkweedmama7.blogspot.com/2011/03/goodbye-nancy.html
and a young, healthy, athletic speech therapist in one month. The therapist wasn't feeling well...went to the ER and was dead in 1 1/2 hours. I;m one of those people who goes to the doctor 2 months after I've been sick...no more! So glad you are better!
